Art Glass Company Announces Grand Opening at New Location

Bear Creek Glass announces the grand opening of their new Orange Beach, Alabama location on Thursday August 20, 2009 from 4PM to 7PM.  Bear Creek Glass makes hand blown glass sinks and chandeliers that are sold in over 200 showrooms across the country. The party will then continue on Friday August 21 from 6PM to 9PM at The Hot Shop at Orange Beach Art Center’s grand opening which is a public access glass blowing facility made possible by a $230,000 equipment donation from Bear Creek Glass.

Orange Beach, Alabama  July 30, 2009 – Bear Creek Glass will have a grand opening at their new location at 25219 Canal Road, Orange Beach, Alabama on Thursday August 20 from 4PM to 7PM.  Bear Creek Glass which opened in 2003 in Birmingham is moving their operation to Orange Beach.  Bear Creek Glass makes handmade glass sinks and chandeliers that are sold in over 200 showrooms across the country.  There will be refreshments and many examples of their art on display.

On Friday, August 21 from 6PM to 9PM the party will move down the street to the grand opening of “The Hot Shop at the Orange Beach Arts Center” located at 26389 Canal Road.  Bear Creek Glass donated $230,000 in glass equipment to the Friends of the Arts and the Orange Beach Arts Center enabling the creation of The Hot Shop.  The Hot Shop is the state’s first public access glass blowing studio that will be available to the public for tours, demonstrations, events, classes, and rental.  One of the first renters of The Hot Shop will be Bear Creek Glass which plans to make much of their art there.

At the Hot Shop grand opening on Friday there will be live music, glass blowing demonstrations, food, drink, glass art raffles and a ribbon cutting by the mayor.
